Characterization of when 2^X is homogeneous

Theorem

Let $X$ be a nondegenerate continuum. Then the following are equivalent:

1. $2^X$ is homogeneous,
2. $X$ is a Peano continuum,
3. $2^X$ is homeomorphic to the Hilbert cube.
